Briana Gutiérrez – Client Relationship Manager

Financial literacy was not a topic that I knew very much about when I was growing up. My parents immigrated to the United States from Latin America with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and although it was not without a struggle, I always appreciated how much they were able to provide with what little they had. I grew to appreciate the way they learned to save, and the sacrifices that they made.

This has encouraged me to work hard and earn an education to help others. Even though my background is in psychology and sociology, I took a chance in building a career in the financial world. I came in with very little knowledge, but I’ve learned a lot and am continuing to grow. I have enjoyed every moment and my goal is to help others feel comfortable when reaching out about their finances -even if it is new to them as well.

Giving back to my community has become integral in my continuing desire to help others. Some of my most significant moments have come from my time interning at a court in Seattle. I was given the opportunity to help provide healthcare, financial, and other basic needs to many people who are reliant on the court’s resources. This has motivated me to continue to be a resource that others can reach out to.

Outside of the office, I enjoy finding new restaurants to dine in all over the greater Seattle area. In my spare time, I also enjoy watching and playing basketball. It became my favorite sport at 8 years old and my love for it has only grown since then.
