Michel Smith, CRPC®
Since I was a child I’ve always been fascinated by money. It seemed like magic. During the 1990s, I spent four years in technology start-ups, making the impossible happen. Being a financial planner and investment advisor is an amazing combination of magic and technology that allows me to help my clients to pursue their best life.
I have succeeded in my career by putting my clients first. I enjoy speaking with them and catching up on their life. People come first in my practice. We should have a long term relationship and I should know a lot about them.
I strive to be the last advisor my clients have and the steward of their legacy. My goal is that my team will survive my client relationships and continue to help their children and grandchildren follow their dreams.
Aviators and Business Owners are my clients. The Aviators have no time but are compensated with stock and other benefits that can be difficult to understand. They need advice that fits their personal life plan and the specific benefits they receive.
My CRPC (Certified Retirement Planning Counselor) designation helps me dive into the specific solutions for retirement planning. Retirement is a singular event that brings my clients much anxiety and for good reason. Some decisions, once made, cannot be reversed. I help clients make the best decisions, directly related to their specific hopes, dreams, and fears.
Business Owners are fully invested in their business. They do it all, but don’t have the time to dive into taxes, retirement plans, and exit strategies. We help them understand the important details so they can make educated decisions that fit their goals.
My passion for local businesses and our community shines through. I support music and film organizations in the community like KEXP and Scarecrow Video.
On weekends you’ll often find me at local parks or child friendly spaces with my awesome wife Renee, and daughters Zoe and Sofie.
On weekends you’ll also find me at vintage record stores, searching for original pressings of Jamaican singles.
